Thursday March 20, 2025 Why Would You Not Want To Grow Roses?

The first meeting for 2025 took place at a new venue. We all met at the Madrona Fire Station. There we found a great location and a very good presentation by Judy Redmond from the Seattle Rose Society. "Why Wouldn't You Want To Grow Roses" gave us great information on locations, pruning methods and time of year to prune. Fertilizer is important but only at appropriate times. Like most of our plants in our area, we need to be aware of drainage and sunlight as well as aphids and other insects. In the end, we will be the rewarded with beautiful roses.
